-- Duke Energy buys 200-MW under-construction PV plant from 8minute Solar

Duke Energy (NYSE:DUK) announced the acquisition of a 200-MW solar park under construction in Texas from developer 8minute Solar Energy for an undisclosed sum.

-- US Solar Fund to buy 128-MW Utah project from Longroad

US Solar Fund Plc (LON:USF), the recently-listed British investment company, said it has signed a deal to buy a 128-MW DC solar project in Utah from Longroad Energy Partners for an undisclosed amount.

-- Thailand's SPCG teams up with Japanese majors in rooftop solar

Thai solar power company SPCG Pcl (BKK:SPCG) has signed a pact with a unit of Thailand’s Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and two Japanese majors to cooperate in the field of rooftop solar photovoltaics (PV) through a new joint venture.

-- NCLAT approval awarded to IL&FS's 874-MW wind sale to Orix

Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services Ltd (IL&FS) said it has received approval from India’s National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) to carry out the planned sale of its 51% stake in an 874-MW wind portfolio to project partner Orix Corp (TYO:8591).

SPI Energy Co Ltd (NASDAQ:SPI) has entered into a framework agreement to acquire up to 21 MW of solar capacity in the US state of Oregon.

-- Athena formally exits 205-MW wind/solar portfolio

Athena Investments A/S (CPH:ATHENA) announced the completion of its previously announced sale of stakes in six wind and solar parks in Italy and Spain totalling 205.5 MW.

-- Senvion seeks loan extension to get more time for bailout plan - report

Troubled German wind turbines maker Senvion SE (ETR:SEN) is engaged in negotiations with creditors over an extension of its EUR-100-million insolvency loan, so it can get more time to agree on a sale with potential buyers, Reuters reported, citing insiders.

Swiss energy trader Axpo Holding AG has received the approval of the French authorities to wrap up its takeover of domestic photovoltaic (PV) company Urbasolar.

UK energy storage firm redT energy Plc (LON:RED) plans to merge with US peer Avalon Battery Corporation in a drive to create the leading global company in vanadium redox flow batteries.

-- Bunge, BP form bioenergy JV in Brazil

US oilseed processing Bunge Ltd (NYSE:BG) said it has reached an agreement with British oil firm BP plc (NYSE:BP) to create a 50/50 bioenergy joint venture (JV) in Brazil.

-- TerraForm Power to buy 320-MW DG portfolio from AltaGas

TerraForm Power Inc (NASDAQ:TERP) has inked a deal to buy a roughly 320-MW portfolio of distributed generation (DG) assets in the US from AltaGas Ltd (TSE:ALA) for a total purchase price of USD 720 million.
