British oil giant Shell Plc (LON:SHEL) and the green energy unit of nickel ore miner Nickel Asia Corp (NIKL:PHS) have formed a joint venture targeting to deploy up to 3 GW of renewable energy capacity in the Philippines.

Canadian renewables developer Boralex Inc (TSE:BLX) has acquired Infinergy’s 338-MW development portfolio of wind, solar and energy storage projects in the UK and taken full control of a joint venture with the British developer.

Swedish wind project developer Eolus Vind AB (STO:EOLU-B) has struck a deal to lift its participating interest in a roughly 200-MW wind project in Sweden, in which it is partnering with domestic developer DalaVind AB.

US independent power generator Onward Energy said it has agreed to acquire a 1,171-MW portfolio of operating solar projects in the US from life insurance and annuity Global Atlantic Financial Group, a majority-owned subsidiary of investment firm KKR.

US buyout firm KKR & Co Inc (NYSE:KKR) has recently obtained the needed authorisation from the European Commission for its tender offer targeting all shares and warrants of French independent renewable energy producer Albioma SA (EPA:ABIO).
Nelnet (NYSE:NNI), a diversified financial services and technology company that has its own renewables-dedicated unit, has bought a controlling stake in GRNE Solar, a solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services provider operating in the US Midwest.

Scottish renewables developer Renewco Power said it is expanding its platform to the US by acquiring a 1.5-GW pipeline of early-stage solar projects along with 500 MW of battery storage projects from Virginia-based Beaufort Rosemary.
