Norway-based offshore wind services company Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS (FOWIC) has agreed to acquire a 51% stake in the owner of the Seafox 5, an offshore wind transport and installation vessel.
-- Sumitomo joins French offshore wind projects of 992 MW
Japan’s Sumitomo Corp (TYO:8053) said it is purchasing a 29.5% stake in the partnership developing a 992-MW offshore wind project at Yeu-Noirmoutier and Dieppe-Le Treport, off the French coast.
-- Wind project of 100 MW in Kenya reaches fin close with Actis' help
The 100-MW Kipeto wind project in Kajiado, Kenya has reached financial close, London-based private equity firm Actis, which now holds an 88% stake in the scheme, said.
-- Off-grid solar firm d.light bags USD 41m to grow in Africa
Off-grid solar company d.light said it has raised USD 41 million in equity funding from a group of investors led by Africa-focused investment advisory firm Inspired Evolution.

Recurrent Energy LLC, part of Canadian Solar Inc (NASDAQ:CSIQ), has sold the 150-MW/210-MWp Mustang Two solar project in California to Solar Frontier Americas.

Allianz Capital Partners has agreed to acquire a 218.8-MW under-construction solar park in Portugal, the largest photovoltaic (PV) facility there being built without subsidies.

Brazil's Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) has approved without restrictions the acquisition by Brennand Energia of the stakes it does not already own in 254.5 MW of wind power capacity.
