-- China Three Gorges buys UAE wind, solar developer Alcazar

China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Ltd (CSAIL) has acquired Alcazar Energy Partners, a Dubai-based renewable project developer and power producer with 411 MW of operational wind and solar capacity in its portfolio.

-- RWE, PPC to target 2 GW of solar through Greek JV - report

The up to 2-GW Greek joint venture (JV) proposed by PPC SA (ATH:PPC) and German energy major RWE AG (ETR:RWE) is set to be established in October and will focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, Energypress reports.

-- China Three Gorges closes purchase of 450 MW of wind, solar in Spain

China Three Gorges (Europe) SA (CTGE) has finalised the acquisition of a 450 MW of renewables across two portfolios in Spain, asset management firm Exus Management Partners announced.

-- Clearway to take full control of 530-MW solar portfolio in Utah

Clearway Energy Inc (NYSE:CWEN) said it has agreed to buy the 50% stake it does not already own in a 530-MW portfolio of operational solar parks in Utah.

-- ReNew Power closes merger with blank check co RMG II

India’s ReNew Power Pvt Ltd has finalised its merger with blank check company RMG Acquisition Corporation II (NASDAQ:RMGB), thus gaining access to trading on Nasdaq.

-- AMG building lithium-vanadium battery for industrial power management

Amsterdam-based speciality materials producer AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group NV (AMS:AMG) announced that it will start the construction of its first lithium vanadium battery and that it has acquired a German software solutions expert to secure the battery management technology.

-- French Hopium raises new capital in push to market hydrogen luxury car

French premium hydrogen-fuelled automobile manufacturer Hopium SA (EPA:MLHPI) said it has raised EUR 6 million from a limited circle of investors so as to finalise the development of its prototype luxury car ahead of going to market.

-- Gridworks, New GX invest USD 41m in S African C&I solar business

UK power infrastructure investor Gridworks and South African investment firm New GX Capital announced that they have injected USD 40 million into a South Africa-based solar power company operating in the commercial and industrial (C&I) segment to support its expansion across other regions of the African continent.

-- NextEra wraps up acquisition of 391-MW wind bundle from Brookfield

NextEra Energy Partners LP (NYSE:NEP) said it has finalised the acquisition of a 391-MW wind portfolio in two US states from Brookfield Renewable.

-- Axpo signs PPA for Fantanele-Cogealac-Gradina wind farm in Romania

Swiss renewable energy producer Axpo said that it has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with CEZ’s Fantanele-Cogealac-Gradina wind farm, part of Macquarie Asset Management’s energy portfolio in Romania.

Independent solar power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd said it has finalised the acquisition of a portfolio consisting of 11.4 MW of solar PV farms in Italy.

Altus Power Inc has acquired a 79-MW operating solar portfolio, taking its total distributed solar generation assets across the US to more than 340 MW.
