Aussie utility AGL Energy Ltd (ASX:AGL) and New Zealand peer Mercury NZ Ltd announced they have increased their buyout proposal for Australia’s Tilt Renewables Ltd (ASX:TLT), now valuing the target business at NZD 3.07 billion.

French utility Engie SA (EPA:ENGI) has agreed to sell its majority stake in Engie Eps SA (EPA:EPS) to Taiwan Cement Corp (TPE:1101), or TCC, for an aggregate consideration of EUR 132 million.

DEPA Commercial SA, part of Greek utility Public Natural Gas Company (DEPA), has secured regulatory approval to acquire a 49% interest in compatriot North Solar SA, which supposedly owns a 500-MW solar project portfolio.

US wholesale energy provider Southern Power has acquired a 118-MW under-construction wind park in Oklahoma from Steelhead Americas, the North American development unit of Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS).

CleanCapital, which invests in US distributed solar assets, said it has secured a USD-300-million corporate investment from Manulife Investment Management.
