Wave power co WERPO preps for fundraising campaign

Israeli sea wave power developer WERPO has entered into a business development agreement with Sunbelt Israel to initiate a fundraising campaign for the purpose of building commercial-scale plants using its technology.

WERPO has already received many orders to construct wave power facilities around the world and now wants to identify strategic partners and investors that would help it realise these projects, parent company Blackbird International Corp (OTCMKTS:BBRD) announced in a press release on Friday.

For this reason it has teamed up with Sunbelt Israel, part of capital group Sunbelt Business Network, which will assist in launching an “aggressive” campaign to raise funds, Blackbird said.

WERPO previously announced it had received orders from or was discussing opportunities in countries such as India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, China, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana, the Caribbean.
