French power producer Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) announced on Tuesday the sale of a 28-MW ready-to-build wind project in Brazil to Japanese construction firm TODA Corp (TYO:1860).
Voltalia will also provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services and once the plant is up and running, the company will also be responsible for its operation and maintenance and asset management.
The particular project will be implemented within Voltalia's 2.4-GW Serra Branca wind-and-solar cluster in Rio Grande do Norte state. Construction work is expected to begin later this year and commercial operation is scheduled for July 2021.
Earlier in the day, German wind turbine maker Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) announced it received an order from the local unit of TODA to deliver eight of its AW132/3465 machines for this project.
