US residential solar installer Vivint Solar (NYSE:VSLR) announced on Monday it has obtained a total of USD 200 million (EUR 181m) in tax equity commitments from three investors.
The company said in a press release that these tax equity commitments will back investments in solar projects with a combined value surpassing USD 480 million, allowing it to install some 123 MW of residential solar arrays.
Securing this funding means that the company will be able to design, procure and build photovoltaic (PV) systems for over 17,000 new residential clients, it noted.
Previously, in May, Vivint Solar closed a USD-75-million tax equity investment fund with an unnamed new investor for more than 45 MW of solar power systems.
At present, Vivint Solar does business in 14 states and Washington DC.
