Vista Solar gets 791-kW solar project job in California
Oct 1, 2012 - US solar systems installer Vista Solar Inc said late last week it had won a contract to install a 791-kW solar power system in southern California for local fruit and vegetable grower Uesugi Farms.
Construction is planned to commence in the closing quarter of the year. The facility will include over 2,700 solar panels.
According to Vista’s release, the plant will allow Uesugi Farms to save more than USD 2.5 million (EUR 1.9m) in power expenses in the coming 25 years. Vista Solar noted that it had also arranged project financing so that Uesugi Farms will install the facility at no upfront cost and remain cash-flow positive for the duration of the financing term.
The solar power plant is calculated to offset over 1.5 million pounds (680,000 kg) of carbon dioxide a year.
