Vikram puts online 10-MW solar park in Madhya Pradesh

May 31 (Renewables Now) - India-based Vikram Solar Pvt Ltd on Wednesday announced the commissioning of a 10-MW solar park in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.
The captive power facility is owned by state-owned aerospace and defence company Bharat Electronics Ltd (BOM:500049) and is located at the Ordnance Factory Itarsi census town in Hoshangabad district. Its output, generated by a total of 35,360 modules, will be used by Ordnance Factory Itarsi.
Apart from building the photovoltaic (PV) plant, Vikram Solar said it will also deliver operations and maintenance (O&M) services under a 10-year contract.
The Indian company, which is also engaged in solar module production, has commissioned or is implementing 750 MW of PV capacity. Its annual PV module production capacity stands at 1 GW.
