Long-duration storage firm Energy Dome secures USD 11m in bridge funding round
Jun 30, 2022 15:00 CESTMarch 16 (Renewables Now) - Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said on Tuesday that it picked up an order for the supply of 86 MW of turbines for two wind projects in Argentina.
The Danish company will supply and install 19 units of its V150-4.5 MW turbines, for the Mataco III and Vivorata wind parks, located in Buenos Aires province.
The order, made by Argentine industrial group Petroquimica Comodoro Rivadavia SA (PCR), is complemented by a 30-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement.
Turbine delivery will take place in the first quarter of 2023 and the machines should be fully commissioned by the fourth quarter of the same year.
Vestas and PCR have already built 330 MW in the South American country, the latter's CEO, Martin Brandi, said. The new order also consolidates its leading position in Argentina with a 50% market share, Vestas added.
