Vestas gets 90 MW order in Brazil

Jul 15, 2011 - Danish wind-turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) said today it will deliver wind turbines with a total capacity of 90 MW for three projects in Brazil.

No financial details were available.

The client is a consortium of Brazilian hydropower companies Brennand Energia and Companhia Hidro Eletrica do Sao Francisco (CHESF).

Vestas will provide, install and commission 10 units of its V90-3.0 MW and 30 V100-2.0 MW turbines at the Sao Pedro do Lago, Pedra Branca and Sete Gameleiras projects. Delivery is due to start in the first half of 2012 and the wind farms -- to start operations in December 2012.

The deal also includes the supply of a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a 10-year service contract with the AOM 5000 solution.
