Valencian firm to build 42-MW solar farm between Chella, Bolbaite - report

Jun 21, 2013 - Valencia-based construction group Actuaciones Publicas y Civiles (Apuc) intends to build a 42.23-MW solar farm in an area between the regional municipalities of Chella and Bolbaite, local newspaper Levante-El Mercantil Valenciano said today.

The facility will cover an area of 2.2 million sq m (23.68m sq ft). It will be equipped with 183,600 solar panels and will be able to power some 10,000 households.

The project will require investments of EUR 35 million (USD 46.2m) for its 25-year service life. As many as 200 direct and indirect jobs are expected to be created. Once it is put on stream, it is seen to book a turnover of EUR 60,000 annually.

The construction works could start after this summer. The solar park should come online in 2015.
