US SunPower to build 10 MW solar farm for LS Power
(ADPnews) - Sep 24, 2010 - US photovoltaic (PV) equipment maker SunPower Corp (NASDAQ:SPWRA) said Wednesday it will install a 10-MW solar system for White Oak Solar Energy, a wholly owned subsidiary of US energy company LS Power Group.
SunPower will design, build, operate and maintain the Dover SUN Park in the Mid-Atlantic region of the US. At the site of 103 acres (42 hectares), the PV producer will install its tracker systems and E19 solar panels.
LS Power owns and develops both power generation and transmission infrastructure, including for the wind and solar power sectors.
Worldwide, SunPower has more than 550 MW of solar power systems installed or under contract, including more than 200 MW of operational power plants in Europe.
