US powers up 3.4 GW of large wind, solar parks in 7-mo 2016

September 5 (SeeNews) - Roughly 3.4 GW of large-scale wind and solar parks went into service in the US in the first seven months of 2016, with zero wind additions in July, shows a report by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

The country put online 7.1 GW of natural gas-fired power station in January-July. Details on new capacity additions and total capacity are in the table in megawatts (MW).
