Sep 11, 2012 - US firm Geostellar, which has developed a geomatic technology to determine the value of solar power for property owners, today unveiled several management appointments to support its expansion throughout the US.
The company recently pocketed USD 14 million (EUR 11m) in capital and after that rolled out its platform to the greater Washington DC metropolitan area. It has now appointed Gary Hahn as chief marketing officer to take charge of Geostellar’s development and execution of brand, creative and multi-channel marketing efforts.
Hahn has over 20 years of experience, including a term as executive vice president (VP) of marketing for SnagFilms.
Furthermore, Geostellar named Len May VP of sales and Dean Kuipers head of community and content.
May comes to the company from Hong Kong-based GCL-Poly Energy Holdings (HKG:3800) where he served as managing director of operations and eastern sales. Previously he has been head of sales and operations for Suntech America, a unit of Chinese solar products maker Suntech Power Holdings Co Ltd (NYSE:STP), for five years.
Dean Kuipers will cater for the local and social aspects of Geostellar’s platform. He previously worked at Los Angeles Times, with a focus on energy, environment, business and culture.
