UAE, Jordan consider green energy collaboration - report
Aug 15, 2012 - The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Jordan discussed opportunities for collaboration in the renewable energy sector in a ministerial meeting held on Sunday, the Emirates News Agency reported on Monday.
The UAE has experience in the renewable energy sector with the Masdar City renewable energy project and as a host to the International Renewable Energy Agency, the news agency said.
The UAE's minister of economy Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said during his meeting with Jordani minister of finance Sulaiman Al Hafez and minister of planning and international cooperation Jafar Hassan that the UAE was also interested in investing the sectors of water, tourism, health, public works, education and other developments in Jordan.
The ministers also discussed means for increasing the economic partnership between private companies from the two countries, the news agency added.
