August 31 (SeeNews) - Trina Energy Storage Solution Co Ltd, also called TrinaBEST, has set up a subsidiary in Japan, it said this week.

The sister company of Chinese solar module maker Trina Solar Ltd (NYSE:TSL) said it placed great importance on the long-term potential of the Japanese market for residential and commercial applications.

TrinaBEST has established an operation center in Tokyo, including a warehouse facility, sales team and technical support. "Such local operation is essential when we pursue new relationships with Japan customers and establish long-term relationships with our current customers in our endeavor to expand our market share in Japan," said Guinan Cui, vice president of TrinaBEST Japan.

TrinaBEST introduced its TrinaHome energy storage products at Intersolar Europe 2016 in Munich in June. It also showcased its TrinaMega line for commercial and utility-scale applications.
