Trina Solar gets CTDP certificate from Underwriters Laboratories
Nov 15, 2012 - Chinese solar photovoltaic (PV) products maker Trina Solar Ltd (NYSE:TSL) today said it had received Client Test Data Program (CTDP) certificate from US-based safety testing and certification company Underwriters Laboratories (UL).
The certification enables Trina Solar to conduct independent testing programmes and issue test data recognized by UL without the presence of UL engineers at its Changzhou PV Testing Centre.
The 7,000-sq-m (75,347 ft) testing centre supports product certification, material reliability testing, highly accelerated aging test, test material evaluation and research for PV products, Trina Solar said, adding that it was the first solar company to get the CTDP certificate.
UL and Trina Solar have also signed a framework agreement to reinforce their collaboration.
