August 13 (Renewables Now) - Chinese photovoltaics (PV) manufacturer Trina Solar Co Ltd (SHA:688599) announced on Thursday that a 100-MW agricultural solar park in China has been hooked to the grid.

Located in a 160-hectare (395.4 acres) area in Luotian County, Hubei province, the PV plant is expected to generate 110 million kWh of electricity per year while mitigating about 104,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.

The solar farm uses Trina Solar's 210 Vertex 550W series combined with Huawei inverters.
