TotalEnergies ENEOS to acquire rooftop solar arrays in Vietnam

The joint venture (JV) of French energy group TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTE) and Japan’s ENEOS Holdings Inc (TYO:5020) will acquire a 3.4-MWp rooftop solar portfolio in Vietnam from Sao Mai Solar Company, with plans to develop more.

TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia Pte Ltd said today that the photovoltaic (PV) arrays being acquired were installed atop two factories, one for Asia Fish Oil (AFO) and one for IDI International Development and Investment JSC, in southern Dong Thap Province.

These solar installations are capable of generating around 4.4 GWh of electricity per year in total, enough to offset more than 3,500 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.

TotalEnergies ENEOS and the subsidiary of the Sao Mai Group have also signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to further develop renewable energy projects, starting with an additional rooftop solar PV system for the Vietnamese group's production units.
