to-the-point: Zorlu provides First Solar modules for 10-MW Turkish roof project

January 10 (Renewables Now) - Zorlu Solar said today it has provided thin-film solar modules manufactured by First Solar Inc (NASDAQ:FSLR) for a 10-MW rooftop photovoltaic (PV) installation that was recently completed in Turkey.

More specifically, the Turkish firm has distributed 85,000 First Solar modules for the project in the Osmaniye Organized Industrial Zone. Zorlu Solar says that this is the world’s largest thin-film solar roof installation.

The owner of the solar system is Toscelik ERW Pipe Production Facilities. EPC company Smart Solar carried out the installation.

Turkish power producer Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IST:ZOREN) offers through Zorlu Solar services ranging from solar electricity generation, PV module sales, purchase, exporting and roof installations, as well as any related installing and consultation services.
