WindSim AS said Wednesday it is opening a subsidiary in Sao Paulo to provide its simulation software and consulting services for the design and operation of wind farms in Brazil.
The Norwegian company will offer technology solutions in the local wind power sector through WindSim Brasil Consultoria Ltda, a joint venture with local investor CASE Participacoes Ltda. The services cover the project life cycle from early site identification, energy optimisation, site suitability and power forecasting to post-construction assessment.
After Brazil, WindSim intends to expand into South Africa this year.
