Petaling Jaya-based firm VSolar Group Bhd (KLSE:VSOLAR) will develop photovoltaic (PV) systems under a new alliance with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).
The memorandum of understanding (MoU), signed by the partners on June 8, will cover certain commercialisation programmes at the university, as well as research and development (R&D) collaboration in the field of PV power generation. As part of the deal, VSolar will develop PV systems within UTM’s vicinity or at any other suitable site identified and provided by it.
The private-public partnership (PPP) has an initial period of three years, which can be extended in due course, according to the statement.
