to-the-point: UGE Intl to deploy rooftop PV for water distributor in Philippines

Canadian renewables group UGE International Ltd (OTCQB:UGEIF) said Tuesday it will be installing a 475-kW rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system for Philippine Spring Water Resources Inc.

The array will be constructed at the main facility of the local manufacturer and distributor of Nature's Spring bottled drinking water, located in Mandaue city, Cebu. Designed by UGE, the solar PV system is expected to generate approximately 665 MWh of electricity annually at less than half the cost of current electricity rates, according to the press statement.

As part of the contract, UGE Philippines Inc will install and continue to maintain the PV array over its 25-year-plus lifetime.
