to-the-point: ThomasLloyd investee commissions 27-MW solar park in India

September 19 (Renewables Now) - ThomasLloyd said on Wednesday that its investee company SolarArise India Projects Pvt Ltd has commissioned a 27-MW solar photovoltaic (PV) park in the Indian state of Karnataka.

The solar plant is located in the village of Kerehalli in Koppal District. It is estimated to generate about 47 million kWh of electricity per year and is selling that output to Bangalore Electricity Supply Co Ltd (BESCOM) under a 25-year offtake contract.

SolarArise operates the facility through a special purpose vehicle (SPV) called Talettutayi Solar Projects Two Pvt Ltd. It commissioned the plant three months ahead of the set deadline, according to the press release.
