The Stad & Esch school community and Drenthe College have launched a tender for a solar system in Meppel, with the deadline for bids being August 30.
The estimated value of the supply contract is EUR 450,000 (USD 521,700) excluding VAT. Stichting Regionaal Opleidingen Centrum Drenthe is the contracting authority.
The solar photovoltaic (PV) system in Meppel is planned to produce 427.5 GWh per year.
The Netherlands installed 853 MW of new solar power capacity in 2017, according to SolarPower Europe. This is up from roughly half a gigawatt in 2016.
