Solar park operators in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu are losing revenue due to output curtailment at peak generation periods, the Hindu Business Line reported.
What is more, there are delays in payments for the electricity photovoltaic (PV) power plants feed to the grid, hurting the generators’ ability to make loan payments, the paper said, citing unnamed developers.
Tamil Nadu has about 1.15 GW of solar parks online and a number of projects in progress. SunEdison (OTCMKTS:SUNEQ), Adani Power Ltd (BOM:533096) and Welspun Renewables are in the list of over 30 companies developing solar projects in the state.
