July 8 (Renewables Now) - Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd has purchased four operating solar photovoltaic (PV) farms totalling 4 MW in the latest acquisition spree in Italy.

The four assets, two ground-mounted and two tracker PV farms, are located in Italy’s Apulia region, the independent power producer (IPP) said Monday.

This spring, Sonnedix acquired in Italy PV portfolios of 3.4 MW in total. The Apulia power plants increase the company’s operating capacity to 186 MW in the country.

According to CEO Axel Thiemann, Sonnedix is targeting the 200-MW operational capacity milestone in Italy.
