to-the-point: Soltage, Tenaska invest in solar portfolio
US independent power producer Tenaska and solar developer Soltage LLC have acquired a portfolio of solar generating assets in a number of states, including Massachusetts and Connecticut, the firms said Thursday.
This is the companies' first joint transaction after Tenaska made a "multimillion-dollar" investment in Soltage, taking control of the solar company in March.
Most of the capital will be deployed for the construction of new assets that will be owned by Tenaska and Soltage, and managed and operated by Soltage, according to the announcement.
The companies said the investment continued Soltage's momentum as it expected to deploy more than USD 250 million (EUR 230m) for around 125 MW of solar projects through 2015 and 2016.
