June 6 (Renewables Now) - Renewable energy project and technology infrastructure developer Pegasus Group Holdings plans to build a 340-MW solar park in Arizona to power a new data centre in Mohave County.

The company will develop The Hive photovoltaic (PV) project north of the Griffith Energy Facility in partnership with Plus Minus Power, it said on Wednesday. The solar-powered data centre, touted as the largest facility of its kind globally, will require an investment of USD 3 billion (EUR 2.67bn).

The data centre will be operational by the end of this year, creating 50 new jobs in the cities of Kingman, Bullhead and the surrounding areas.
