to-the-point: Solar, hydro tenders in Turkey coming in August

June 8 (Renewables Now) - Details on planned tenders for one hydropower and five solar plants in Turkey will be announced in August under a programme to increase the use of renewable energy in Turkish municipalities backed by the EU.

According to a notice today in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED), the solar projects will be located in Denizli, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya and Şanlıurfa. The programme will also include tenders for water pumps and electric buses.

The contracting authority is the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU), Ankara.
