January 16 (Renewables Now) - Skoda Auto will award in a tender a contract of up to CZK 38.2 million (USD 1.7m/EUR 1.5m) for the installation of solar and battery storage capacity at its complex in Kosmonosy, a town in northern Czech Republic.
More specifically, the contract will include the supply and installation of at least 441 kWp of solar photovoltaic (PV) capacity on building roofs and at least 570 kWh of energy storage. The deadline for tenders or requests to participate in February 13, according to a notice by the Czech automobile manufacturer in the EU's Tenders Electronic Daily (TED).
Skoda is part of Volkswagen Group.
