Chinese solar product manufacturer Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co Ltd said today it has recently inaugurated a 300-MW photovoltaic (PV) module factory in South Africa’s Eastern Cape province.
The company developed this USD-14-million (EUR 12.3m) module assembly plant in a joint venture with Spanish peer ILB Helios Southern Africa and Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa.
The facility is currently in trial production and is expected to ramp up to full production next month. Seraphim says that it uses the latest fully-automated production technology.
