to-the-point: SB Energy completes 1-MW PV plant in Shizuoka

Japanese renewable energy firm SB Energy Corp started today the commercial operation of a 1-MW solar power plant in Shizuoka prefecture.
The Softbank Hamamatsu Kyowa Solar Park, as the photovoltaic (PV) plant is named, has an estimated annual output of about 1.42 million kWh, enough to supply 394 local households. Located in Hamamatsu city, the PV park covers an area of 1.2 hectares (2.9 acres), SB said.
SB Energy, which is the clean energy arm of SoftBank Corp (TYO:9984), conducted the design, procurement and construction supervision works.
