to-the-point: Russia's En+ to take part in renewable energy auctions - report

June 7 (Renewables Now) - Russian aluminium and power producer En+ Group Plc (MCX:ENPL) intends to take part in auctions for small hydropower (HPP) and solar energy, according to its head.

The group is currently submitting the bids, CEO Vladimir Kiryukhin told Prime news agency on Friday.

The power segment of En+ currently mainly operates HPPs, with more than 15 GW of installed capacity, according to information on its website. The group expects to spend RUB 55 billion (USD 846m/EUR 750m) on hydro upgrades by 2046, Kiryukhin has said, as cited by Prime.
