April 15 (Renewables Now) - African urban developer Rendeavour has installed a 1-MW rooftop solar power plant at the Tatu City residential and commercial estate in Nairobi, as it looks to roll out a total of 30 MW at the same location.

The solar plant was installed on the roof of the global headquarters of Dorman Coffee Group, a coffee producer and exporter, located at Tatu Industrial Park, the developer said Monday.

Rendevour’s plan for the new Nairobi suburb is to install solar panels on all rooftops at the industrial park, which is zoned for light, non-polluting industries.
