December 8 (SeeNews) - Japanese firm NTT Facilities Inc, a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp (TYO:9432), announced today it has completed a 32.7-MW solar power plant in Miyazaki prefecture.

Located in Kunitomi city, the Miyazaki Kamenoko Solar Power Station has an estimated annual output of 40,000 MWh, enough to meet the electricity demand of some 11,000 local households.

Construction of the park began in August 20, 2015 and power generation is scheduled to start on January 1, 2017. This is the 70th plant that NTT has inaugurated in the country, and the largest of all, the company said.

Earlier this month, the company also finished a 5.2-MW photovoltaic (PV) facility in Tochigi prefecture.
