to-the-point: Mainstream executive director Torben Andersen resigns

February 18 (Renewables Now) – Torben Andersen, the executive director of Mainstream Renewable Power, has resigned from his position after 11 years, the Ireland-based company informed on Monday.

After more than a decade at Mainstream, he has decided to pursue new opportunities, the company said.

Previously, Andersen was head of offshore development at Airtricity, the renewable energy company founded by Mainstream’s executive chairman Eddie O’Connor.

Andersen leaves Mainstream with an onshore wind and solar portfolio totalling 804 MW in operation, and projects of 9,890 MW combined in different development stages.
