December 11 (Renewables Now) - Chinese solar module maker JinkoSolar Holding Co Ltd (NYSE:JKS) will use the Greek Port of Piraeus as a distribution hub for the delivery of its renewable energy products in Europe, it announced.

The company has signed an agreement with Cosco Shipping Lines (Greece) SA for the use of the facility. JinkoSolar noted that the hub will serve projects in Greece, the Balkans and the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.

"This partnership with COSCO will enable us to work very closely with our clients in the region by providing an optimized logistics solution that will not only be reliable, timely but most of all, cost-efficient," said Frank Niendorf, general manager of JinkoSolar Europe.
