to-the-point: Japan's Solar Frontier sets up office in UK
Solar Frontier, a Japanese producer of copper indium diselenide (CIS) thin-film solar modules, has opened an office in the UK in a move to scale up its rooftop and power plant business in the country.
"The UK office is an important step in Solar Frontier's global expansion strategy to further grow our business in key global markets," Wolfgang Lange, managing director of Solar Frontier Europe, said in a statement last week. The office is located in London.
In May, Solar Frontier, a subsidiary of Showa Shell Sekiyu KK (TYO:5002), announced an agreement with New Energy for the World GmbH (NEW) to develop and sell up to 100 MW of solar parks in the UK.
