Sep 14 (Renewables Now) - Indian firm ACME Cleantech Solutions Ltd has commissioned two solar power plants totalling 100 MW in the southern Indian state of Telangana, consultancy Mercom India said on Wednesday.

Each of the two plants has a capacity of 50 MW. The facilities are situated in Adilabad and Medak districts, respectively.

ACME won the projects under a state solar tender that awarded almost 2,000 MW of photovoltaic (PV) projects. It signed power purchase agreements (PPAs), with a term of 25 years, in early 2016 at a price of INR 5.5949 (USD 0.087/EUR 0.073) per kWh.

According to Mercom’s Q2 solar market update for India, Asme had a solar project pipeline of about 1,100 MW.
