to-the-point: Hanwha Q Cells gets 35-MW module order in US
Potovoltaics (PV) maker Hanwha Q Cells Co Ltd (NASDAQ:HQCL) said Wednesday it will supply 35 MW of its crystalline solar modules to projects in North Carolina.
The manufacturer has been selected as the sole module supplier for three sites by SunEnergy1, a Mooresville, North Carolina-based company that develops and builds utility-scale solar projects. The sites are located in Hertford and Martin counties and will use Hanwha Q Cells' Q.PRO L-G3 modules, designed for large solar power plants, and its HSL 72S modules. Delivery is to take place in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Justin Lee, president of Hanwha Q Cells America, noted that the US is currently one of the key markets for the company.
