Spanish lender Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BME:BBVA) has increased the credit line extended to solar developer Fotowatio Renewable Ventures BV (FRV) to EUR 60 million (USD 66.7m), both parties announced Monday.
Also, the credit line has now been designated green as the proceeds will be used for renewable energy projects.
The Spanish solar developer, part of Abdul Latif Jameel Energy, is currently building the 50-MW DC La Solanilla solar farm in the region of Extremadura. Fotowatio said the new park will start operations by the end of 2019.
