US firm EnSync Energy Inc (NYSEAMERICAN:ESNC), doing business as EnSync Energy Systems, has sold to an undisclosed investor its 660-kW power purchase agreement (PPA) with Hawai'i Pacific University (HPU).
EnSync and HPU struck the 20-year solar PPA last year, in order to supply green energy to the university's Aloha Tower Marketplace in downtown Honolulu.
Initially, the PPA was for a 310 kW PV system, but EnSync Energy had recently announced a 350-kW expansion. According to the terms of the PPA, HPU can request a third increase, as well.
Commissioning of the system is expected in early 2019, EnSync noted.
