to-the-point: EIB mulls EUR-50m financing for EU renewables fund

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is considering providing EUR 50 million (USD 54.7m) in financing to RGreen Invest, a Paris-based fund manager that specialises in energy transition investments.

If it chooses to support the project, the financing will go towards the FONDS INFRAGREEN III, which aims to back small to medium-sized solar, wind and biogas assets. According to the project page, the particular fund seeks to raise a total of EUR 250 million.

The project has been under appraisal since May 5, 2017.
