to-the-point: Dec 6 hearing for up to 150-MW solar park in Ohio

The Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) will hold a local public hearing on December 6 on an up to 150-MW solar farm project, the Hardin Solar Energy Center, at Hardin County.

Invenergy Solar Development North America LLC owns the project company Hardin Solar Energy LLC, which has proposed to install photovoltaic (PV) panels on an area of roughly 1,100 acres in Hardin County.

The public hearing at Kenton High School will be followed by an adjudicatory hearing on December 15 at the Offices of the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) of Ohio.

According to information on Invenergy’s site from this spring, commercial operations at the Hardin solar power plant could begin as early as December 2018.
