Daiwa Lease Co Ltd, part of Daiwa House Group, said on Tuesday it has finalised a 1-MW floating solar power system in Japan’s western prefecture of Osaka.
The JPY-500-million (USD 4m/EUR 3.6m) Dream Solar project involved the installation of more than 4,000 photovoltaic (PV) panels supplied by JinkoSolar. They have the combined capacity to power around 328 local households.
The group’s objective is to hit 200 MW of renewable energy capacity by fiscal 2018.
