to-the-point: CEO of Brazil's Renova Energia resigns

February 21 (Renewables Now) - Brazilian renewables firm Renova Energia SA (BVMF:RNEW11) said on Monday that its chief executive officer Carlos Figueiredo Santos has resigned.

No details were given as to why this decision has been made. According to the company's brief statement, Figueiredo Santos will remain in office until February 28, 2018.

In accordance with the terms of the current bylaws and of the Shareholders' Agreement from December 19, 2014, if a substitute is not elected until that date, Renova's current chief financial officer will assume the CEO position.
