Brazil's power sector regulator Aneel authorised on Tuesday six wind farms with a combined capacity of 71.28 MW to start commercial operations.

All the plants are located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, recently reactivated its Wind Energy Working Group (GT Eolica), in an effort to boost the development of the wind energy sector in the state.
The plants were allowed to begin operations after a regular test period.
